The recession is upon us and if you’re not already making plans on how to cope with it, you should be. There are two fundamental questions about your money that you need to ask yourself as you deal with the challenges of this financial upheaval. When thinking about your money, you should be concerned with how to make it, and then how to keep it. The first part of this question deals with income, the second with wealth creation and preservation.
In November of 2008, unemployment was a 14 year high. With an unemployment rate approaching 7%, more than a million Americans have lost their jobs so far this year. If you work for a company or for another person, your employment security is in jeopardy. Any well conceived and comprehensive financial plan must address the income issue, and how to preserve your job. Today, most experts agree that self-employment is virtually the only secure method of ensuring job longevity and income security.
The retention of wealth is the second major consideration that you need to address as you face the coming recession. Experts are well aware of the fact that during a recession tremendous amounts of wealth changes hands. Many people lose their entire fortunes during a recession, but on the other hand, more millionaires are made during a recession than during any other time in the economic cycle. The key of course is to be able to understand the opportunities that a recession presents, and then having the skills and strategies in place to take advantage of these opportunities. Most people only have a rudimentary understanding of financial matters, and lack the expertise necessary to profit in recessionary times.
A growing number of Internet entrepreneurs are solving both problems in one comprehensive step–they’re turning to the Internet to obtain financial education and training that will allow them to grow and prosper during the coming economic hard times, while also undertaking home-based network marketing businesses that will allow them to secure their income, and continue to earn extraordinary pay doing something that they enjoy from the comfort of their own homes. Opportunities such as these abound on the Internet, and simply require that you take the time and exert the energy to do your research and find them.
If you do not have the skills or experience necessary to set up and operate your own business, you can choose an opportunity that provides the training, support, coaching, and mentorship, that will make doing online entrepreneurship a risk-free endeavor. Although it will require some capital and a commitment of time and effort, finding a turnkey business in a box is a viable alternative to the coming economic firestorm.
